Assisted Passages
Starting out on your own, on a new yacht, with only minimal experience, can be worrying and possibly dangerous. The golden rule is never to push yourself beyond what your capability and experience, and that of your crew, can handle.
We can provide qualified Yachtmasters, including RYA qualified Instructors, to skipper some or all of the passage with you. That way you have both the confidence and the security to take your own yacht on new and more challenging voyages, and you will increase your experience at the same time.
A Yachtmovers skipper will help you with the all-important passage planning and provisioning, help you check the weather, the tides, help you carry out all the proper yacht preparation and safety checks, help you with traffic separation zones, and get you there safely. And all our Yachtmovers skippers will be happy to teach you as they go, so you have the very best kind of training - one on one - from an RYA qualified Instructor, on your own yacht.
If your yachting skills are already good, you may want to skipper the delivery yourself and have the security of an experienced skipper along to advise you.
Like all our deliveries, safety is of paramount importance, and full safety checks will be carried out before the passage starts.
